Anal Fissure

An anal fissure is tear or ulcer that develops in the anal lining of the canal. It develops when the lining of the anal canal becomes damaged when passing. Symptoms of the condition include bleeding and sharp pains. Some cases of anal fissure may need medication or surgery. Conventional surgical treatment involves devision of the internal anal sphincter, this posing a risk to the bowel control function. Mr Giordano has developed a minimally invasive procedure to correct the problem without any risk to the anal function.
