Fistula in Ano
Anal fistula is an abnormal connection between the epithelialised surface of the anal canal and the perianal skin. It is normally formed after an anal abscess bursts or is not treated properly. An anal fistula can be painful, especially when you go to the toilet. Anal fistula requires surgery as it can rarely heal by itself. Surgery can be often challenging and pose a risk to the anal sphincter and bowel control. To avoid those risks Mr Giordano offers a range of new minimally invasive treatments for anal fistula including collagen paste injection and video-assisted fistula surgery.
